How Many Galleons Does A Tour Cost?

Tours cost $40 per person, which includes a ticket to the museum (valid the entire day!). Although the Met is pay what you wish for individuals, there is a fixed rate for third party tours. Tickets for tours cover this museum admission rate as well as operational costs to run the tours.

What's the Dress Code?

Forget about the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy! Show us your finest in wizarding gear. Of course, we know that in doing so you risk being burned at the stake, so going in disguise as a muggle is fine too.

Route List Please!

Sorry, no can do. Although certain objects are consistent across tours, we are always evolving. There are hundreds of objects in the museum that are related to the series in one way or another, and routes will change depending on the group, special exhibits, and gallery closures. Besides, it's more fun with other people!

What About the Cloisters?

At the moment, Harry Potter is only at the Met, but the Cloisters certainly are a treasure trove of magical objects. We do offer a brochure to help guide yourself through the Cloisters museum, just email hp.met.tours@gmail.com and ask for one! Visitors to the Met have 7 days to visit the Cloisters as long as they keep their ticket stub. It just takes so long to get there without magic!

You're Not J.K. Rowling! How Do You Know All of This stuff?

I'm just a fan who, like many other fans, noticed J.K. Rowling drew heavily from English folklore and Greek/Roman mythology. I also spend a lot of time in the Met, and at one point I made it my goal to visit every gallery in the museum, which led me to very strange and unusual objects in the collection. Once one object reminded me of Harry Potter, I soon began to notice tons of objects that reminded me of Harry Potter! I started doing research and as they say, the rest is history.
